Fantastic cosplayers who took part in the World Cosplay Summit 2011 visited Aizuwakamatsu on August 11th 2011. This event was promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a member of the World Cosplay Summit Executive Committee because Aizuwakamatsu City is now under the risk of negative reputation triggered by the Great East Japan earth quake on March, 11th. Then, 3 teams from Spain, Italy and Denmark visited with their will to support and tell the people around the world "Fukushima CAN Go!!". They enjoyed not only deep history, culture, special local cuisine and handicrafts of Aizu through this trip but also the collaboration with the local cosplayers 'Aizu-moe-musume'. The Cosplayers said 'I would like to tell the people Fukushima is SAFE and OK! Aizu is reservoir of sight spots!'
